I'll save the "Barrel-O-Monkeys" post (promised last week) for next time. This week, I wanted you to know I'm featured on Scribe, the blog of the Writers League of Texas!
I'm attending their "Agents and Editors Conference" this weekend in Austin, and I hope to meet a lot of people and learn more about how best to pitch my novel. D. Ellis Phelps, an author and artist and former attendee of this conference, has served as my mentor for the past several weeks, helping me polish the "pitch" I'll give to the agent I'm meeting on Saturday (along with any others I happen to run into). I'm nervous and excited all at once.
At the very least, I'll meet other local authors and those involved in the publishing industry, so I'm anticipating an amazing—if exhausting—weekend. I'll let you know how it goes.
