Mixed Media Collage:

Laura's mixed media collages are her vision and interpretation of the natural wonders around her—plants, animals, and landscapes. She invites viewers to connect with the natural world, to encourage them to venture out and experience nature directly more often. She hopes to convey a sense of place and the beauty and variety of the outdoors, especially in Texas. She also explores themes of social justice in her collages.

Laura specializes in themes of nature, travel, and black and white photography. She strives to evoke a sense of the outdoors with her photographs, whether it's rolling surf or beams of sunlight or crisp fall air.

Laura's photographic work won First Place in the Texas Master Naturalist Annual Conference Art and Photo Contest in 2023 (Landscape category). Her photos were also selected for the 2026 and 2020 “Texas Hill Country Calendar” by the Hill Country Alliance, and selected for the cover and interior of “Through Layered Limestone: a Texas Hill Country anthology of place”
